guns pulled in an NBA locker room.... and I thought fights during a hockey game ruined the sport..

I swear all pro sports are degenerating and devolving and that eventually there will only be one giant Rollerball league.

Why pro basketball players need to carry unlicensed (assumption) handguns? At what, 6'10" and nearly 300 pounds, who's going to give them any trouble? Only another basketball player or a football player... unless they have to travel into high crime districts to score some crack, which it seems they must be doing. Even after Plaxico Burress shot himself... what are they thinking?

Despite the cold Sunday nite, it ranks right up there with the top 5-6 games in Meadowlands history (only counting the Jets of course or there'd be many more, not to mention Springsteen). Those other Jet games include the 41-0 playoff victory over the Colts, beating Jax in the 98 playoffs, beating Brady and the Pats earlier this yr, the Midnight (actually 1am) Miracle (Mike and I were proudly (stupidly) of few who didn't leave that night when down 30-7), and perhaps the most fun game beside this sunday nite was the season-ending thrashing of the Packers while hearing the Pats inexplicably beat the dolphins in Foxboro in the last seconds that won the division. anyway, despite the extreme cold it was great to see the tremendous turnout from the success-starved jet fans who get little credit in this town but all came out early and then watched their team match the intensity and dominate on the field. Now the quesiton for us long-time Jet sufferers is can the jets find another way to bring us down...a loss this week will do that, but anything they do after if they win this week will be gravy for us this yr...until next week when i ge sucked in all overagain
