Athlon Names Four Cardinal to Preseason All-America Team Friday, 28 June 2013, 1:22 am

The accolades continue to build this offseason with Athlon Sport’s preseason All-America football team, which featured four Stanford players including first-team selections David Yankey and Ed Reynolds. Trent Murphy and Shayne Skov were named to the second team and a total of 10 Cardinal players were named preseason All-Pac-12.

Stanford Athletics announced today that its football sports performance coordinator position has been endowed by a generous gift from John, MBA ’70, and Kathy Kissick (Parents ’07, ’12), named in honor of their family. Stanford is the first FBS sports performance program in the nation with an endowed directorship.

Thirteen Stanford Teams Earn NCAA Public Recognition Awards Wednesday, 5 June 2013, 12:17 pm

A total of thirteen (13) Stanford varsity athletic teams have received Division I Academic Progress Rate Public Recognition Awards from the NCAA, in an announcement made Wednesday, June 4. It is the highest total for Cardinal teams since the NCAA began tracking the data in 2004-05.
