USC Football Announces 2012 Signing Class Wednesday, 1 February 2012, 9:51 pm

LOS ANGELES-Eleven high school football players and 1 junior college player signed to play with USC, Trojan head coach Lane Kiffin announced today (Feb. 1). Additionally, 3 high school players, a junior college player and a college transfer already enrolled at USC in January and will participate in the upcoming spring practice.

The ninth annual USC Football/Nike Coach of the Year Southern California Coaches Clinic, offering all levels of football coaches exclusive expertise from USC head coach Lane Kiffin, his Trojan coaching staff and special guest speakers such as Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy and Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio, will be held Feb. 24 and 25 at USC’s Galen Center Pavilion (3400 So. 2012 USC Football Schedule Announced Wednesday, 4 January 2012, 5:37 pm

The 2012 USC football schedule has been announced by the Pac-12 Conference. The Trojans, coming off a 10-2 season that saw them finish first in the Pac-12 South Division and earn a No. 5 national ranking, will play 6 homes games in the Coliseum in 2012. Overall, USC–which is expected to enter the season ranked high nationally–will face 8 teams that played in a bowl this year, 6 teams that won at least 7 games in 2011 and 4 squads that will be guided by new coaches.

LOS ANGELES–Two talented high school football players¬-linebacker Scott Starr of Norco (Calif.) High and offensive tackle Chad Wheeler of Santa Monica (Calif.) High¬-have signed with USC, head coach Lane Kiffin announced today (Dec. 21). Both Starr and Wheeler will graduate from high school a semester early in order to enroll at USC in January as freshmen and participate in 2012 spring practice.

LOS ANGELES–Junior college standouts Gerald Bowman and Morgan Breslin have signed letters of intent with USC, Trojan head coach Lane Kiffin announced today (Dec. 21). Bowman is a 6-1, 215-pound safety from Los Angeles Pierce Junior College in Woodland Hills (Calif.) and Breslin is a 6-3, 245-pound defensive end from Diablo Valley Junior College in Pleasant Hill (Calif.).

Three USC football players–junior offensive tackle Matt Kalil, sophomore wide receiver Robert Woods and junior safety T.J. McDonald–have been named to various 2011 All-American first teams. Also, five Trojan freshmen–wide receiver Marqise Lee, linebackers Dion Bailey and Hayes Pullard, offensive guard Marcus Martin and placekicker Andre Heidari–were selected to various 2011 Freshman All-American first teams.

Gilmore Receives National Receivers Coach Honor Friday, 9 December 2011, 3:29 pm

USC first-year assistant Ted Gilmore was named 2011 FootballScoop Wide Receivers Coach of the Year presented by SpeedTracs on Friday (Dec. 9). Gilmore, who came to USC in February of 2011 after spending six years at Nebraska as the recruiting coordinator and receivers coach, helped mold one of the top receiving corps in the country, led by 2011 Biletnikoff finalist Robert Woods and 2011 Freshman All-American Marqise Lee.
