It was a tough October for our friend, Gil Lock, of Ryno Rife Sports Handicappers.  After removing his wife, Jill, from the weekly rotation of experts, Gil found things quite frosty in the bedroom.  At first, the couch seemed to agree with Gil as he turned in a perfect week.  Things looked even brighter after Jill’s replacement, Johnny Duduguanda, was 2-1 over the same period. “Things were pretty good for a week”, said Gil. “But, when we failed to fire in week two and turned in an 0-6 debacle, it was either Jill or the torpedo. Duduguanda had to go.”

We’ll see how wedded bliss affects the picks this week.

Locks of the Week- Season (42-28-4)

Gil Lock (14-9-1)
California – 14 1/2 over Washington State-  Cal has run up the score on every weak opponent they’ve faced and Wazzou is among the weakest.

TCU -4 1/2 over Utah- The biggest game on the schedule this week, even if the BCS computers won’t say so.  THe Frogs D will extinguish the Utes’ title hopes.

Northwestern +6 over Penn State- The Wildcats walk into Happy Valley and ruin JoePa’s 135th birthday.

Jill Lock (10-8)
Boise State-Hawaii over 65 1/2- After three weeks off, I’ll rely on my cutie-pies to get me back on the winning track. First up, Boise’s Coach Pete.  If only I’d met him before Gil.

Nevada -11 over Idaho- Cutie-pie number two, Colin Kapernick, runs all over the Vandals to give me a big win.

UNLV +18 over BYU- The Cougars have been miserable this year; can’t see them beating anyone by this much.

Pad Lock (16-7-3)

Florida -14 over Vanderbilt- Urban Meyer’s crew is no powerhouse, but they’re no slouch either. They should have no problem with a Vandy team that would struggle with the Elmwood Park Pee-Wee Bombers. Lay the points.

Oregon -35  over Washington -Washington ends its four game stretch vs the four nationally ranked Pac 10 powerhouses (Oregon State, Arizona, Stanford, and now Oregon). Hope the flight home shows a good movie, because that’s all Washington will enjoy on Saturday. Look for Oregon to flex it muscles on defense, and show off on offense. A deadly combo.

Last week, we reported in this space that, after two winless weeks, Gil Lock of Ryno Rife Sports Handicappers removed his wife, Jill, from the regular rotation of experts and replaced her with a New Jersey torpedo, Johnny Dudaguanda.  “I knew she was going to be ticked but, hey, I have a comfortable couch.  Turns out that things got a little icier in the Lock boudoir as Jill failed to fire on her picks last week, falling short of the 2-1 mark Gil has mandated for her reinstatement.  To make matters worse, our hero turned in his second, consecutive, perfect week while Jill’s replacement, pork store denizen Dudaguanda, went 2-1 to hold his spot in the lineup.  Pad Lock went 3-1 as well, as the Lock contingent recovered from two mediocre weeks and registered an 8-2 record.  “I hope my fans appreciate the sacrifice I’m making.  Jill was a dancer in Las Vegas when I met her while this Dudaguanda guy shaves his back.”  Yes we do, Gil.  Just keep the picks coming.

Locks Of  The Week (40-20-4)

Washington +6 1/2 over Arizona-  Big Jake Locker fan this week.  Huskies head into the desert and walk out with a win.

Iowa – 6 1/2 over Wisconsin- My favorite scenario. Always looking for the kind of letdown waiting for the Badgers this week.

Indiana +13 1/2 over Illinois- Waffled on this pick, if only because, now, I have to watch two Big Ten games this week.  Yikes!

Johnny Dudaguanda (2-1)

Idaho -24 over New Mexico State-  Been following these New Mexico teams all year and they’re freakin horrible; just like Denville HS used to be when I was a kid.

San Diego State – 24 over New Mexico- See above.

Notre Dame -7  1/2 over Navy- Notre Dame coach, Brian Kelly, brings his Fighting Irish into the New York area for the first time and looks to make a strong impression on the Subway Alumni.

Pad Lock (13-6-3)

Western  Michigan -7 1/2 over Akron…. No offense, no wins,no chance… hey they’re not called the Akron zips for no reason.

TCU-Air Force Under 48 1/2…. TCU’s lockdown defense(9.3 ppg) is likely to control outgoing flights all day, but don’t expect their offense to “take off”. Air Force only gives up 19.4 ppg, themselves.

West Virginia -14 Syracuse…. Seems like ‘Cuse has taken a page out of Jimmy Boeheim’s playbook by scheduling cupcakes deep into the season. The Orange are a deceptive 4-2 with wins over Akron, Maine, Colgate and South Florida. The Mountaineers will let them know what it’s like to play a men’s team. Ride the Country roads….BIG.

East Carolina -12 1/2 over Marshall… Unless the Thundering Herd finds a way to get Matthew McConaughey to deliver the pre-game speech, expect ECU to roll.

Our fair haired boy, Gil Lock, of Ryno Rife Sports Handicappers, made an executive decision on behalf of his team that will likely carry dire consequences on the homefront.  After two straight winless weeks, Gil has replaced his bride, the lovely Jill Lock, as one of his college football experts.

“It wasn’t that tough a decision”, said Gil.  “We can’t have someone going 0-6 over two weeks. On top of that, she put my butt on the bench last season when I couldn’t pick a winner to save my bolts. Turnabout is fair play.  Fair or not, though, she didn’t take it very well.  Looks like the action on the football field will be the only action I’ll be worried about for awhile.”

When asked who would be stepping in, Gil revealed an odd solution.  “I have a very loyal follower that I often run into around the neighborhood.  Usually he’s in the pork store or OTB and he always stops to talk about college football.  So, I decided to give him a shot.  We’ll keep an eye on Jill and put her back in the lineup when she gets back on track.  Until then, meet Johhny Dudaguanda.”

Kansas State -3 over Kansas- The Jayhawks have struggled under new coach Turner Gill.  My only hesitation is that the game is in Lawrence but State coach Bill Snyder doesn’t lose Big XII games that he’s supposed to win.

Army +7 over Rutgers- Things get tighter for RichRod as the Wolverines head into the teeth of their schedule.

Iowa – 3 1/2 over Michigan- The bulldogs have to pretty angry over last week’s debacle at Hawaii. New Mexico State is terrible.  Lay the wood.

 Johnny Dudaguanda (0-0-0)

Georgia -15 over Vanderbilt- I usually try to stay out of the South since my cousin bailed a friend and me out of some legal trouble a few years back, but I learned my lesson after Jill picked Vandy two weeks ago.  What a dead piece!  They got smoked by UConn; Georgia should kill ‘em.  Go Dawgs.
 

Boise State -39 1/2 over San Jose State- Our weekly Boise pick, as the Broncos must run up the score on every opponent.

Nevada-Hawaii Over 74-  Really?  74?  What is this, a freakin’ basketball game?

Pad Lock (10-5-3)

Southern Miss -14 1/2 over Memphis -  So. Miss has put up 40+ the past two weeks, and while they don’t have the ’85 Bears defense, I’m confident they’ll contain dreadful Memphis.  Maybe if the Tigers cheated like their basketball team

Alabama-Mississippi Under 55- Bama should still be livid that they let their title hopes slip away last week, and their defense should be wide awake because of it. Expect Saban’s crew to smother Mississippi. Bama’s run offense will also help the cause, eating clock once the lead’s safe.

UTEP +2 1/2 over UAB- Let me get this straight, a 5-1 UTEP team is getting  points from 1-4 UAB team with losses to Florida Atlantic and UCF on its schedule ?  

Utah -20 1/2 over Wyoming-  This is just laughable. Uncle Gil would have Utah at -4 TDs at least.  Jump all over this one.

Had a riotous conversation the other day with our good friend, Gil Lock, of Ryno Rife Sports Handicappers. Turns out that, not only did Gil turn in a perfect 3-0 for CollegeSportsview.com last weekend, but he liked five other games, as well, each of which was also a winner.  However, Gil’s perfect Saturday wasn’t enough to help a hapless old friend who just won’t listen.  I’ll let Gil take it from here.

“I have a good friend; much older than I am, who I met way back when I was a teenager.  I was a counselor in training (CIT) at North Star summer camp somewhere in northern New England.  Tripper was one of the counselors there; the kind of guy all the kids liked.  I can’t remember what he did in the winter; I think he drove a beer truck.” 

“Anyway, Tripper is the worst gambler I’ve ever met. The guy can’t pick his nose.  Horses, baseball, football; you name it, he’s lost money on it.  Tragically, though, no matter how much I try to help him, he goes the other way and ends up making the long walk to the bunkhouse.  But Saturday was the topper. It would have been bad enough if he’d just ignored the eight winners I gave him.  But this meatball decided to go the other way on three and then pick three of his own, all of whom failed to fire.  Poor Tripper. Can’t get out of his own way.”

Jill Lock had a little bit of the Tripper flu, herself, last week as she lost all three games.  Pad Lock was 1-1-1 and is still shaking his head over Oklahoma State’s terrible fourth quarter while Uncle Gil, to Tripper’s dismay, crushed the schedule.  Here’s how the Locks see week 6.

Navy -3 1/2 over Wake Forest- The Middies’ loss to Air Force essentially cost them the Commander in Chief trophy and they’ll take that frustration out on the Demon Deacons.  

California -7 1/2 over UCLA-  The Golden Bears take advantage of a UCLA letdown in Berkeley.  The Bruins looked very sloppy last week vs. Wazzou.

Stanford – 7 over USC- After getting kicked around by Oregon, the Cardinal will be plenty ticked on Saturday; bad news for lil’ Lane Kiffin and his Trojans.

Jill Lock (10-5

UNLV + 27 1/2 over West Virginia- I met Gil in Vegas and have a soft spot in my heart for them.  Besides, West Virginia is a gloomy state.

Notre Dame – 8 over Pittsburgh- Has anyone seen Notre Dame’s new coach?  He’s so neatly dressed on the sideline.  As for Pittsburgh, see above note on West Virginia.

Fresno State – 11 1/2 over Hawaii-  Gil’s a native Hawaiian so he gets mad when I pick against them so… that’s why I pick against them.

Pad Lock (8-4-3)

Oklahoma State – 24 over Louisiana-Lafayette-  I’m still mad at the Cowboys for blowing a two TD lead last week but I’ll get over it. Uncle Gil worries about letdown games but I don’t.  Okie St. averaging 52 PPG.

Boise State – 39 over Toledo-  I’d lay 60 in this one. Boise scored 59 last week and dropped a spot in the polls. They’ll have to roll everyone to get to the BCS title game.

New Mexico-New Mexico State Over 51- Two most dreadful teams in College Football. Someone’s gotta win this game, and it’ll be whom ever has a less horrific defense. They both stink.

It could have been worse.  While a 4-4-1 week doesn’t exactly qualify as a loser, it was how the record came about that has Gil Lock busting his bolts with anger.  “I’ve tried to explain to Jill that there are higher powers at work here and they must be respected.  At Ryno Rife Sports Handicappers, we’ve never gotten behind any of our picks financially because, as soon as we do, we know that the sports gods will get pissed and blow up every selection.”  “That was lost on Jill last Friday, as she decided to share some of our expertise with her little friend, Stephanie; one of her pole-dancing colleagues from her days in Vegas.  Worse, she gave out my picks!  So, while she was 2-1, I got smacked.” 

Tough luck, Gil. But if a split week is the price to pay for Jill’s education into the world of handicapping, it’s not so bad.  Let’s just hope she keeps her picks to herself this week.

Locks of the Week (Season: 24-9-3)

Gil Lock (7-4-1)

Temple -6 over Army- The Owls have made significant improvement since joining the MAC and have played very well against solid competition while Army failed to fire last Saturday against the likes of Duke.

Iowa -7 over Penn State- Let me just say that I can’t overemphasize this point:  Penn State stinks.  They get overhyped every August because everyone loves JoePa, then they proceed to fatten up in September with a slate of high school teams.  This season, they finally had an early meeting with a contender and got bounced all over the field by Alabama.  Look for more of the same in Iowa.

Washington State +28 over UCLA- I don’t think anymore of the Cougars than most, but I’m a big believer in letdowns.  UCLA had a huge win at Texas last week and may take State lightly.  Even if they don’t, their run-first offense should eat a lot of clock.

Jill Lock (10-2)

BYU -8 over Utah State- The Brigham Youngers have gotten their tushies kicked for three weeks and must be pretty mad and Utah State gives up a lot of baskets, er, touchdowns.

Nevada -21 over UNLV- Now, if anyone knows Vegas, it’s me.  My cutie-pie, Colin Kapernik, will run all over UNLV, a school I’ve thought was icky since I watched that bald basketball coach eating his towel.

Vanderbilt +10 1/2 over Connecticut- Really? Connecticut has gotten beat up by the two decent teams it played while Vandy just beat Mississippi.

Pad Lock (7-3-2)

UTEP -15 over New Mexico- I got this pick in first, ahead of my aunt and uncle, as all of the Locks are on the “New Mexico is the worst team in college football” bandwagon.

Oklahoma State -3 over Texas A&M- While neither team has faced Lombardi’s Packers so far, the patsies on the Cowboys’ schedule have been a lot tougher than those that have rolled over for the Aggies. Also like that the game is in Stillwater.

Texas Tech -7 over Iowa State- A hunch play here; leaning on the strength of Tech’s program and the ineptitude of the Cyclones.

Don’t know that anything beside the Buffalo Wings at Pipin’s Pub are hotter than our favorite College Football handicappers, the Lock family.  Patriarch Gil Lock, his wife, Jill and nephew Pad, continued their winning ways last week with a 5-3-1 week that raised the season record to 20-5-2 against the spread.  That tie was on Pad’s ledger, as USC coach Lane Kiffin inexplicably attempted a two point conversion that would have put the Trojans up 34-14 with 6:00 left vs. Minnesota.  “I couldn’t believe it”, wailed Pad. “As soon as it happened, I knew Minnesota would score a garbage TD and cost me the win.  Now I’m behind Uncle Gil, something he’s not going to let me forget.”

Tough luck for Pad but, if a little family competition keeps the Locks on their game, so much the better for the rest of us.  Here’s how they see Week 4.

Locks of the Week

Gil Lock (Season: 7-2)

Oklahoma -14 over Cincinnati- This is absolutely more of a pick against Cincy than for the Sooners.  This one might be -24 if the game was in Norman.  I’ve seen Cincinnati twice and have been unimpressed both times while Bob Stoops’ boys are rolling.  Could be looking at a shutout here.

Air Force -13 1/2 over Wyoming- Pity the poor Cowboys as they come off a spanking fron Boise State only to run into the equally hot Falcons. Ask BYU how tough Air Force is.

Houston -19 over Tulane- Tough won last week for the Cougars, they got their heads handed to them by UCLA.  The classic bully, Houston goes back to picking on the little kids with a home rout over Tulane.

Jill Lock (Season: 8-1)

Nevada -4 over BYU- Anyone that follows me knows that I love the cutie-pie players and Nevada’s Colin Kapernik is one of my favorites.  He can run, throw and he’s tall and handsome.

LSU -10 over West Virginia- Love the purple and gold uniforms of LSU and I hate that stupid John Denver song they sing at West Virginia.

Idaho – Colorado State over 50 1/2- I noticed that neither of these teams seem to have any of those big guys that make the tackles.

Pad Lock (Season: 5-2-2)

Kansas State -7 UCF- Central Florida has beaten Buffalo and South Dakota; two powderpuffs. K-State is anything but; clipping along at 3-0 despite their omission from the NCAA Top 25. Look for that slight to motivate the Wildcats on their home turf, as they roll to 4-0.

Stanford -4 1/2 over ND- Stanford has become a late night favorite for me. Being younger than uncle Gil and Aunt Jill,(much younger, actually) I’m up late on Saturday nights long after they’ve had their cocoa and gone to bed. One of the hidden gems of late night NCAA Football is the pass-happy Stanford offense led by Andrew Luck. Only the night owls that watch this team every week can truly appreciate how great they are. Expect people to follow their hearts with ND, and laugh you’re way to the bank as The Cardinal cruises to a bigger win in South Bend.

Ohio – Marshall Over 44 1/2…. Ohio’s 1-2 with a win over “powerhouse” Wofford.  Marshall is 0-3 and, aside from nearly upsetting a bad West Virginia team, isn’t a defensive juggernaut. Both bands will get to play their fight song all day.

Last year, Gil Lock would’ve done anything to post a 7-2 record over the course of a College Football weekend.  Not so in 2010, however, as last week’s stellar mark was actually a step down from an undefeated Week One.

“Actually”, said the native Hawaiian, “last season was the anomaly.”  “Maybe it’s the competition with my wife and nephew bringing out the best in me, but I really feel like I’m back on my game.”

Apparently so, even though the good Mr. Lock failed to mention that his wife is currently undefeated and leading him by a game.  Let’s see how they fare this week.

College Football Locks of the Week

Gil Lock (5-1)

Notre Dame +3  1/2 over Michigan State- The Irish had no trouble scoring against Michigan last week while QB Dayne Crist was on the field.  That he sat for most of the first half put the Domers in too much of a hole.  I’m not impressed with Michigan State or the Big Ten and think Notre Dame will win this one outright.

California-Nevada over 66- Nevada continues to be a hidden gem, as no one seems to stay up late to watch them.  They score like a basketball team and have no defense to speak of.  This one may go over 80.

Auburn -6 over Clemson-  The Roof,the Roof, the roof is on fire… as Auburn D coordinator Ted Roof sends his vaunted D against a punchless Clemson squad. Roof cut his teeth coaching a young Gil Lock at UMass years ago, a UMass squad in need of a priest this weekend vs. Michigan. 

Jill Lock (6-0)

North Carolina -2 over Georgia Tech- North Carolina had all those kids suspended from the opener for acting fresh and they still almost beat LSU.  They should all have learned their lesson for the first home game and their uniforms are such an adorable blue.

Boise State -23 1/2 over Wyoming-  If ever I leave Gil, it’ll be for Boise’s coach, Chris Petersen.  I love him.  Now, since Virginia Tech screwed him by losing to James Madison, Chris will have to beat the snot out of everyone in order to make it to a big Bowl Game.

Utah -22 1/2 over New Mexico-  The powder-puff Flag Football team from my sorority would be laying six to New Mexico. 

Pad Lock (4-1-1)

USC -11 over Minnesota-  Love the Pac Ten and think the Big Ten is the most overrated conference in the nation.  Minnesota barely beat Middle Tennessee and lost to South Dakota at home.  South Dakota?!?  Trojans in a walk.

Kansas State -3 1/2 over Iowa State-  Cyclones showed nothing last week vs. Iowa.  Love State coach Bill Snyder, especially at home.

East Carolina +19 1/2 over Virginia Tech-  Yeah, I know, don’t think the Hokies are as bad as they looked vs. JMU.  But, the Pirates are as good as they looked vs. Tulsa and can score on anyone.

A year ago, with Gil Lock rumblin’, bumblin’, stumblin’ so much that his family came to his rescue, it couldn’t have happened. Any thought of an unbeaten week was pure fantasy. However, in 2010, it’s exactly how the Lock family, Gil, Jill and Pad, started the season. Now, while we don’t expect to see the same kind of success throughout the season, we here at CollegeSportsView.com are starting to expect much from Rino Rife Sports Handicappers as they seem to have their fingers on the pulse of college football. Here’s how they see the campaign’s second week.

Alabama -10 over Penn State- In what has become an annual mistake, the Nittany Lions and their fans have drastically overrated their talent as well as 137 year old Joe Paterno’s ability to coach. There’s not much that’ll make you miss the smell of cow chips in State College, but the beating they’ll get from Alabama will certainly make them homesick.

Army -1 1/2 over Hawaii- A science experiment here, as the Rainbows’ circadian rhythms will have their body clocks reading 6 AM for the noon kickoff at West Point. Go with the Black Knights of the Hudson.

Washington -10 over Syracuse- Huskies’ Heisman Trophy candidate Jake Locker can’t be happy with last week’s loss and finds a perfect patsy in The Orange. Never like SU, but really don’t like them trekking across country.

Jill Lock

Texas Tech -23 over New Mexico- First, I love Tech’s shiny helmets. Secondly, I think I could find ten girls from my pilates class to knock off New Mexico. Lay the wood.

Florida -15 1/2 over South Florida- Last week, South Florida was tied with Stony Brook at the end of the first quarter. Stony Brook?!? Another slow start and that cutie-pie Urban Meyer will run them out of the stadium.

Tulane +20 1/2 over Mississippi- Many will think that the Rebels will be mad enough to run it up after being embarrassed by Jacksonville State. I think that, not only is Tulane better than Jacksonville, but they wear nicer colors.

Pad Lock

Georgia Tech -12 over Kansas- Tech looks like a favorite in the ACC while Kansas just lost to 1AA North Dakota State and could only put up 3 points. These teams are clearly headed in different directions and the road that separates them is more than 2 touchdowns.

Nevada-Colorado State Over 56- Nevada’s style of play resembles a mix of arena football and a video game. Loads of offenses, naps on defense. This may hit by halftime.

Oregon-11.5 over Tennessee- Oregon looks to be clicking on all cylinders especially with the return of LaMichael James to the lineup. Expect big things from the guys with the wacky uniforms.

They’re back.  The Lock family, Gil, his wife Jill and nephew Pad, have agreed to return to CollegeSportsView.com for another stellar season of College Football prognostications.

When we last left the locks, Gil, of Ryno Rife Sports Handicappers, had spent most of the season sullying the family name.  It was for this reason that his wife, Jill, started to submit her own weekly selections, as Gil’s picks had become a source of embarrassment.  Good thing, too, as Jill was a winner two-thirds of the time.  Then, nephew Pad Lock got into the act, helping to bump up the record even further.  Perhaps inspired by their performance, even Gil started to come around by Bowl Season.

 So, here they are again, fresh off a 2009 campaign that returned an exceptional 55-45-1 record.  The season kicks off tonight and, true to form, the Locks are all over the Thursday night action. Good luck!!

(2009: 13-19-1)

South Carolina -14 over Southern Mississippi-  Always love a home team from a BCS conference in a non-conference tilt, especially when the spread is a reasonable one.  Go with the Gamecocks.

Georgia -28 over Louisiana-Lafayette- See above.  Dawgs in a rout.

Oregon State +12 ½ over TCU- My Pac Ten bias is showing here.  While TCU is a Top Ten team, I think it’s a little early to expect a blowout over a big program.  They’ll win, but won’t cover. 

Jill Lock

(2009: 26-13)

Oregon-New Mexico over 59 ½- Thought about laying the 35 with the Ducks but feel safer with the over.  New Mexico is likely to score a few times in the second half against Oregon’s sixth and seventh stringers.

Notre Dame – 10 1/2 over Purdue- Wake up the echoes.  Looking for new Irish head man, Brian Kelly, to make a statement in his first game.

Texas Tech-SMU over 60-  Don’t expect a lot of defensive stars in this shootout.

Pad Lock

(2009: 12-9)

Pitt +3 over Utah- Panthers are a Top 15 team that can win Big East yet a dog in opener. I like ‘em even if nobody else does.

USC-Hawaii over  51- The Trojans are going to be ticked coming into their non-bowl season and will take it out on the Rainbow defense.  However, Hawaii can score, too, and USC has a lot of new defenders.

Fresno pick ‘em over Cincinnati- No Brian Kelly, no Tony Pike and a Fresno team used to big competition.  Ride the “Green V” to Victory.

There’s something to be said for karma.  Just days after banishing husband and uncle, Gil Lock, from the very handicapping column founded to feature his expertise, Jill and Pad Lock suffered through their worst weekend of the season.  Jill, who had been rolling along at a two to one clip, turned in an oh for three stinker; her first of the year.  Nephew Pad didn’t fare much better; registering just a single win. Realizing they had ticked off the football gods by mistreating Gil just before the start of the all important Bowl Season, they decided to correct the situation and invite Gil back to the team.

“We never felt right about firing Gil”, said his wife, Jill.  “I mean, he’s a sports handicapper.  It’s what he does. What else is he going to do, work in a supermarket? He had a bad stretch and we overreacted.”  Pad echoed the sentiment, saying, “Uncle Gil has always been good to me. I hated to let him go but Aunt Jill wanted to protect her record.  Not much to protect now, I guess.”

Gil, while overjoyed at the news, was still feeling a little low after some personal misadventures took their toll.  “I’ve been pulled over a number of times by Jersey State Troopers because I look like the guy who punched Snookie on Jersey Shore.  They usually notice I’m not the guy after I form a few complete sentences but, the last time, I got in over my head.”  “I have a buddy who’s a guido”, said Gil, “and this cop pulls me over with him in the car.”  “He takes one look at Phil’s hair gel and general, torpedo demeanor and assumes he’s ‘The Situation’”, Gil continued.  “I tried to explain that Phil’s nickname is, actually, ‘The Altercation’ and that the officer  was mistaken; but he wasn’t buying.”  “Finally, the cop, knowing that the real ‘Situation’ has six-pack abs, asked Phil to roll up his sleeveless tee.”  “As soon as he saw that Phil’s six-pack was actually a half keg, he let us go.”  Asked if he harbored any ill will toward his wife and nephew, Gil was gracious.  “Nah.  I’m just happy to be back.”   And, with that,  here’s how the Locks see the Bowl Season:
